What does a new AC cost in the Tampa Bay area?

System size. A replacement is priced first by capacity, measured in tons. Square footage is the rough guide, but ceiling height, insulation, window area and sun exposure all matter, which is why we run a load calculation before quoting.

Efficiency rating. A baseline single-stage system costs less up front. Two-stage and variable-speed equipment costs more but runs longer at lower power, which usually means lower bills and better humidity control in Florida.

Electrical. Older homes sometimes need a new disconnect, a dedicated circuit, or a panel upgrade to carry modern equipment safely.

Access. A tight attic, a second-floor air handler, a long line set run or a pad that has to be rebuilt all add labor hours.
